How To Measure and Fit Your Stockings Some knee high stockings can be fitted simply by your shoe size. Others should be fitted by measurement. Ideally, measurements should be taken when the prospective wearer is standing, and preferably in the morning before any swelling occurs. Only two circumference measurements are required for knee high stockings and a third for thigh stockings. Ankle: Measure the circumference at the narrowest part of the ankle above the ankle bone. Calf: Measure the circumference at the fullest part of the calf. Thigh: Measure the circumference at the point 2 inches below the groin. Now that you have the measurements, use the measuring chart to determine your size. Charts are located on respective product pages after you select your preferred color. In the event that the ankle measurement falls into one size smaller than the calf measurement, select the size relating to the ankle. If the calf is two sizes bigger contact SupportALeg customer service staff by email. support@supportaleg.com.
